Charleston is an attractive coastal location. The Southern Atlantic Conservatory of Music believes that a premiere location is a significant enticing factor to attract elite faculty and qualified students from all areas of the country and world. This area is an historic and cultural hub with limitless potential for fine arts institutions, particularly in music. According to 2019 US Census Bureau data, Charleston County’s population has increased by 17.5% since 2010. This cultural growth will be enhanced with the addition and successful implementation of SACM. The location also provides important opportunities for further cultural development in under-resourced communities in the surrounding area. The Southern Atlantic Conservatory of Music intends to build and/or renovate a state-of-the-art facility to benefit all those it serves in this beautiful location.
